Syngonium 'Pink Splash' is a visually striking cultivar of arrowhead vine, known for its vibrant, pink and white variegated foliage that adds a pop of color to any space. The leaves are heart-shaped, with splashes of soft pink and creamy white contrasting against the deep green background, creating a beautiful marbled effect. Like other Syngonium varieties, it thrives in bright, indirect light and prefers warm, humid conditions. It can be grown as a trailing vine or trained to climb a support, and it responds well to regular pruning to maintain a compact shape. With its attractive coloring and easy-care nature, Syngonium 'Pink Splash' is a popular choice for indoor plant enthusiasts looking for a low-maintenance yet decorative plant.

Care

  1. Light: Provide bright, indirect light to keep the pink and white variegation vibrant. Too little light will cause the pink coloring to fade, while direct sunlight can scorch the leaves. The plant can tolerate moderate light, but the variegation may diminish.

  2. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry to the touch, and ensure the pot has proper drainage to prevent root rot. In the winter, reduce watering as the plant’s growth slows.

  3. Humidity: Pink Splash prefers higher humidity (around 60% or more) to keep its leaves healthy and vibrant. If humidity is low, increase it with a humidifier, humidity tray, or by misting the plant regularly.

  4. Temperature: It thrives in warm temperatures between 65°F and 80°F (18°C–27°C). Avoid placing it in cold drafts or temperatures below 50°F (10°C), as it is sensitive to cold.

  5. Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a peat-based mix with added perlite or orchid bark, to prevent water retention and root rot.

  6. Fertilizing: Feed Syngonium 'Pink Splash' with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Cut back on fertilizing in the fall and winter when growth slows.

  7. Pruning and Maintenance: Prune regularly to control the size and shape of the plant. Trim leggy stems to encourage bushier growth. You can propagate cuttings in water or soil to expand your plant collection.

  8. Repotting: Repot the plant every 1–2 years or when it becomes root-bound. Choose a pot that is 1–2 inches larger than the current one to provide space for new growth.

With the right light, moisture, and humidity, Syngonium 'Pink Splash' will thrive and continue to delight with its beautiful, colorful foliage.
